Where the hell is the technology?

In the old days
not necessarily good days,
we had the parting of the sea,
to drown people,
Sampson to bring down civilizations
of bad people mocking,
David to slay the giant goliath,
but now the twenty first century has arrived and
with modern weapon technology,
why hasn't God been using a ray gun
to zap bad people, a sort of dalek that shouts exterminate.

Really! With all this mythology
going on, where are the Greek gods
when you need 'em.
They always got the job done!
