When the goodbye is really farewell!

When the goodbye is really farewell!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

The cheerio, goodbye
was no more
than a hello;
the greeting
lingering
on the handshake
clasped,
on a want
that didn't want to let go.

Aaah- the handshake that lingers...harbinger of things to come? That is the question alluded to in this pristine and eloquent poem. Words unsaid...yet. Leaves us wondering...Excellent!
