When I saw your face.

When I saw your face.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

I had to be taller
to look you in the eye,
I'd fly across oceans
just to be by your side.
I wrote you in a book,
you jumped outside the page,
we acted out our love
carried out on  stage.
I tried to do my best
with my feet on the ground,
but when I saw your face.
that image in the clouds.
My heart's always racing
while you sing every word,
the likes I never knew,
a tune I never heard.
