Meet me at the station in the year 2035.

Meet me at the station in the year 2035.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Yes! We must catch up!
Meet me at the station
in the year 2035.

Was not the the time or place
just a destination in mind
never reached,
a point in the distance
based on heresay.

We never did meet,
it never took place.

While I was always here
in the now
you were still
caught up in yesterday
entangled in tomorrow’s passing.

Looking back
across the table
your smile seems more sepia
on memories now beige
as death slowly creeps
into my limbs.
