My shadow stalks me.

My shadow stalks me.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Trapped in the mirrors of haze
I spiral down the banisters of time,
the moonbeam light shows the way
irrigated thoughts rain on
pools of collected memories
huddled around the dying embers
of my ancestors I nest while
my shadow stalks me.

An interesting twist on the shadow theme - usually the shadow is a reassuring companion (e.g the song 'Me and My Shadow') but here it is a foreboding limpet. Creative twisting my melon man.
