Don't go out back to the little room!

Don't go out back to the little room!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Somewhere at the back of the mind is
a little place called dementia
where all ribbons of memories
are sent to the cutting floor.
Places everyone
you know the lines
and action.....
No! No! No!
CUT!
Stop the tape!
Cut! Cut! Cut!
Dementia, the director of memories!

Pow! Last line like a punch to the solar plexus. So well-written. Take 1, Take 2, Take 3- final take- Dementia... great form, flow, repetition, metaphor falling to the cutting room floor...

You’re very welcome Andrew.
It's a horrible thing. I had relatives that had it. They slowly drifted off to somewhere else in their mind. I like this.
