The wishing well!

The wishing well!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

On cobbled mind's path
I travelled
I tripped
I fell over your circumference
of your heart.
I jumped over
your stepping stones
of memories you laid
now lying deep
in my wishing well.

Cobbled mind's path.....love that line!

We certainly do walk such paths when we start a new relationship with someone. Like you have written, their mind is full of stepping stones, memories of the past hurts and lovers, that one must evade in order to reach their inner depths. A place where we can lay down our own stone and nurture it's memory. And hopefully stay beside it for all time.

This is an excellent musing on the nature of wading through the depths of the past to build a foundation for a loving relationship. A wonderful idea very well executed. Fine work.

As always thank you very much for your kind words Doodley.
Oh I liked that. It is different then what I have been reading lately. I can review this in my head perfectly. I am having an issue writing it down.

I am loving the fact that you are making your way through a path someone else made, but they made in your space. If what I said above made no since I am sorry.(Sounds better in my head) I really enjoyed it though.
