Welcome to a world where nothing stands in your way!

Welcome to a world where nothing stands in your way!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

From the old man wandering lonely
the homeless litter black landcapes
the old woman cries at the window
the deceased lies in bed upstairs
a cat becomes stuck in a tree meows
a little boy lost his ball down the drain
while a hit and run leaves a body in the gutter
a bird flying home for winter is shot
a scuffle breaks out leaving the dead
on the footpath reads another murder
a thief breaks in through the window
violence screams where violence is bred
inside a world where
                                 nothing matters.

You felt my earlier fleeting mood i think. Because whether Christmas or not, things happen in he world that have no part in festivities. They're the tragic norm and though smiles should wrap around us, there are times when there just aren't smiles enough.

Fine writing, andrew.. truly fine.
