Looking through your glass menagerie.

Looking through your glass menagerie.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

I thought you were strange
looking through your glass menagerie,
you reflecting your thoughts
via your mind's window
where your eyes told
a story that did not
match your words.
 But I enjoyed the play
swimming in those eyes
floating on your melodic voice
patterns that soothed my senses
then you pulled the blinds.
I was left in your dark
while your shadow wandered.
