Are you thinking what I’m thinking?

Are you thinking what I’m thinking?

A Poem by andrew mitchell

What if....
our thoughts
are not really ours
but put there
by our ancestors.

“What did you say?”
“I’m not sure!”

Are the souls in heaven
closer than we think!

Reaching out by planting
the seed in our minds,
hence the feeling
of being in a place
sometime before,
but not in our lifetime.

“Déjà vu!”
“Exactly!”

“I had a dream!”
“ Is it yours or someone else’s?”
“ I’ve never seen her before?”
“Oh Dear!”

we have discussions in my classes about Intellectual Property---and we discuss this...are any of our thoughts really our own...or are our thoughts really those of others, things we have heard, read...something that came before...who owns it?
love this poem
