Of light and shadows.

Of light and shadows.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

While life
shined in the light
death always lurked
in the shadows.

Only for a moment
was death
in the spotlight
then put to rest.

Whereas the memories lived on.

There are fire angels... we were rescued...
and now live in a house with windows of light.

as fire angel said....could be taken either way---we seem to emerge from the shadows in life...but when we die, we remain in the shadows of death...yet some will remember us in a good light.

Hmm I don't know how to take this exactly, could be taken in a good way and vice versa, depends on the reader. Very nice!
