Life's masquerade ball.

Life's masquerade ball.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Pray tell
is not the mask
to act on,
and not to hide behind
as previously thought.
For if you could
see my heart my dear,
you'd surely run away.

Honest thoughts led to honest ending. I did like this poem my friend. Thank you Andrew for sharing the amazing poetry.

It blows me away how differently we see things ... i like the thought of acting on my mask as a more positive take on "hiding" the true self. Seems your speaker has a dark side and acts according to the mask to save the "other" in the relationship ... your making me use me noodle again andrew .. nice fresh take on a phony ... :)
