The letter in the fire divided two worlds.

The letter in the fire divided two worlds.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

While the thoughts
were confined
to the size of the paper,
there was a slip of the pen.
Where once moments collided,
the memories now live
worlds apart.

My sincere pleasure Andrew & all good things to you.. N
There is a kind harking back to a time that was once shared by two minds who thought alike. But that is now in the past. And well deservedly so. Good, pithy writing dear Andrew!

Best,
M.

"The Thoughts were confined to the size of the paper." I love that phrase. I guess that is what makes good writing so rare.

Thank you angel
sometimes the poetry we write about the past is a far cry from how it really was...moments collide with memories and we all reflect them differently...perhaps how we wish it had been.
