Were the laces tied, mine?

Were the laces tied, mine?

A Poem by andrew mitchell

If the shoe fits
wear it but
where will this
shoe take me?

Maybe, barefoot
was more being in tune
with nature.

I mean what happens
when one outgrows
one’s shoe?

Will the road
I travel change
in new shoes?
