On the same page are we?

On the same page are we?

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Reading one another
is all about being
on the same page;
when they didn't understand the joke at hand
we were all not on the same page,
when my thoughts were misinterpreted,
our minds were not on the same page
and yet when I heard the message wrong
it was I...
on the wrong page.
Are our thoughts destined to be
on the same page,
or do our views settle on different pages?
So many books, so many pages!
And yet, we were all connected
covering the same old page
at one stage but just not together.
To fall on the same page
maybe we need to have
the same book,
the same introduction,
the same plot,
but more importantly
don't forget your lines,
and don't lose your bookmark!

sure enjoyed the metaphor sir! have you ever taken pages together and drawn little cartoon figures creating a motion scene when flipped through?
as i neared your closing i was thinking we must know how to read and write ... but i like your ending better ... for me there is a bite of sarcasm in it ... but i might be edited out ... laying there on the floor ... with all those other lost letters and crumpled words ... sighing ... ;))))

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover... Still waters run deep. I have placed a velvet bookmark on your page. truly, Pat

An entertaining read Andrew. Your lines reminded me of an Eric Morecombe comedy sketch. I could almost hear his voice :))

i like this...but not sure i want us all on the same page...more interesting if we have different interpretations of life and poetry...
the same plots really get old...like romance novels...same plot, same setting, different names for characters.

i want to improvise, thank you very much.
