Contacting my inner self!

Contacting my inner self!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

I thought I would look
inside myself and ask
how things are going.

So I said to mind.
“How are we doing today?”
“Are we happy?”
Mind said.” Mind your own business!”
I said. “Typical mindset!”
“ You’ll be sorry!”

Went over to see heart.
Heart was feeling lonely
so I gave heart a hug
but I slipped and dropped it.
It’s a broken heart now.

Guess who’s crying now?
Never mind!

Reads like my mind works, Andrew! And, once dropped and broken, the heart is slow to embrace again. Clever word play. Love the ending.

Your body will let you know when it needs looking at.
Usually when you end up in the hospital. lol
