The mandible massacre at ladybird lake.A Poem by andrew mitchell
As the symphony
of insect music increased, legs rubbing, wings fluttering, eyes bulging, one little mechanical monster wearing his ecto skeleton all black and shiny shouted. “Would you all just shut up!” “ I’m trying to communicate with my girl friend via antenna linkup!” “Just shut up!” But the music played on. In the news today an ant flipped in rage, forty nine orchestral insects dead in what survivors describe as a mandible massacre. Soldier ants are guarding the accused. © 2018 andrew mitchellReviews
