Who would have thought!

Who would have thought!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Pass a thought
to those that don't
have a thought!
In a world called bizarre:
A grass hopper on the telephone.
" I always eat out in the fields of green, green grass
that only I can call home!"
A fly plays with the TV remote.
"I knew six legs would come in handy!"
A butterfly on landing couldn't decide,
eat here or fly away!
While the worm at home
was grounded,
the ladybird flirting said.
"One dot or two!"
A caterpillar at dinner
with a knife and fork
for the first time
became hungry on the subject
" What legs do I use?"
Meanwhile the spider had his
own eight piece band called
Daddy and the webs!
All flies welcome!
Life is small in a world
we see passing by.
The grasshopper still on the telephone, still chirping.
"Our ancestors were here first, I tell you!
Way before Tom Jones sang our song!"
" The green green grass called home!"
Who would have thought!
