Just a piece of paper!

Just a piece of paper!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

We are all but
a piece of paper
from the moment
we are born,
we go to school,
apply for a job,
just a paper in the queue
waiting alongside others
til we become known.
Through the book of life
sailing through time
we all become
just a piece of paper
in the end.

Just a piece of paper!

This is even better than the idea of being a number. I'd much rather be a piece of paper. I just posted a story about my mom's youth, back around 1940, & that is another life that I just reduced to a piece of paper. We writers do it all the time without acknowledging how much we might be diminishing the real deal! *wink! wink!* Love your creativity & how it tickles mine (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
