Savouring a savoury moment!

Savouring a savoury moment!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Who holds my hand
that paints the picture
of myself stirring the pot
that I must follow,
leading me down
the path of life spent?

Are memories coated
in sugar icing
to remember moments
not so sweet?

Must I taste
a savoury moment
not found in a cook book!

Why are the failed recipes
on the menu
not well received?

Does he who knows to diet
expand his tastes in wisdom
to be shared on today's gluttony!

I find the dishes are dirty,
the cutlery is laid,
and I'm still hungry.
