The elusive be!

The elusive be!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Tomorrow- an extension
of today accompanied by
“ what will be, will be.”
But what is be?
Where does be come from?
Will I like be?
Will be disappoint?
Will be be be?

Of course, one cannot forget
“ to be or not to be that is the question?”
Which brings to mind,
who is be?
Has anyone really seen be,
and in the context “ be there!”,
will I finally meet be
if I’m there?

The entity of be
is like a god,
it’s around and
then you’re told -
you can be whatever
you want to be!

Forget the p’s and q’s
this is a case of being
I or be.
And what of I
I came
I saw
I conquered,
one can only conclude
this is not your
average be in a bonnet?

That elusive be!

Brilliant playful pondering on this completely inventive idea! I couldn't believe how your effusive mind kept coming up with yet another recognizable phrase to banter about as if figuring out a make-believe dilemma! You dangle on the precipice of making sense & being delightfully nonsensical (one of my favorite spots to dangle!) *smile* Fondly, Margie

Being Cool is quite the thing... like my wedding Ring it fits me to a tee. Be it you or be it me... we will be fit to be tied. “Whether it Be nobler in the minds of men...”... Shakespeare was no fool to Be tempered with. truly, Pat

Indeed he was not Pat, thanks for reading my scribbles.
Such a lot of questions waiting for answers in this fun write Andrew. For a simple word commencing with the second letter in the alphabet you have done yourself proud and probably tied some of your readers up in knots. Got me smiling you did.
