Forget the power of Zen.

Forget the power of Zen.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

I bring you
                  the power of

                                      " and then!"

Forget the power of Zen,
and its futile hold
on conversation!

The curtain is up!

The audience sits waiting,
in suspense, the anticipation,
nerves, excitement building,
the pause for what comes after
          " and then!"

In a state of full attentiveness,
the slowness of time;
the wait, the waiting, the waited!
The power of  " and then!" slowly appears.

Oh! Hurry up!

Sweats, perspiration, nerves twist,
maniacal laughter uncontrolled,
whispers on hold, the want for more
from the conversation
that leads the audience
in due course allowing the pause before
the power of two words  are heard

" and then!"...........

Next week, live on show,
the power of "when!"
