Another armoured day in an unsalvaged life.

Another armoured day in an unsalvaged life.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Do we dress the mind
according to the day?
Put the mind in a positive way.
Only to have your armour ripped
and trodden by the end
of a passing day.

Yes, we are all knights
to battle life,
suiting up for every new day
we push and clamour through
the daily wars of life’s costs
in living only to rust away one day.

As we go forth
we meet our maker,
the battle is over,
what a battle it was,
next time I’ll choose
a more noble role,
the armour was too heavy.

yes, if we spend our lives trying to fend off heartaches and pains...there would be no gains...we need to go into the battle much less adorned...just with an open mind and heart.

The stress of daily living will take its toll. Our minds have to have enough in reserve to make it through the week - until it's time to do it over again next week.
