The ramblings of a tune in mind! Get me out of here!

The ramblings of a tune in mind! Get me out of here!

A Poem by andrew mitchell
"

please note fictional scribbles of a sane mind bordering on a ride through Monty Python's Flying circus.

"
A criss-crossing of thoughts
suspended between
right and wrong,
not knowing
this way or that way
broke down on the motorised
highway of connective thinking today
becoming in turn the trabeculated mind.

The speed limit will be reduced
to twenty five kilometres an hour
while the highway motor neurons
install traffic lights at this intersection.

For memories please take highway M1
turning off at emotional drive
and proceed through melancholic lane,
a dusty track of lost thoughts
but will get you there.

Sorry for any inconvenience for
delays on common sense and sanity,
so in the meantime listen to some
elevator music, just tunes
locked in the mind
having no end.

I liked this write Andrew. When I can't sleep I would like the traffic lights in my mind to be on red instead of green. They are always on green, and the flow of thoughts are far too fast. I also like the idea of that elevator music. Nothing too energetic though. Nice and calming would do it. A fun piece.

Thank you Chris for a delightful review.
highways of memories, listening to old songs and thinking of certain times...that interstate can get pretty crowded...but if we all take care and drive safely...we can get through life and our thoughts, poems, hearts won't collide in a bad way, but in a good way.
