The stage lights of the milky way.

The stage lights of the milky way.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Where once the night sky
 lit up centre stage
with an array of stars
now deep space is
the accumulation of shadows
of those past under small lights
of candles burning,
shining in remembrance.

An interesting free verse which seems to say we are eclipsed by the many misdeeds that we are witness to, by the amount of candles lit in in memory to those taken.

Yes John, the night sky seems to portray a presence looking at us, maybe past shadows holding a burn.. read more
from stage lights to snuffed out stars to candles...
always a flicker of memories for those we loved and lost...
i have several of those candles...and love all of them as much today as when i lost them...
maybe more...i like knowing they are up there shining down.
