The flight path of the power of words.

The flight path of the power of words.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

As far as the word goes,
the word was taken down
by another word fired.

That word in turn
was shot down
by another other word
in a war of words.

The power of words when
the word that shoots
down the word
that shoots down
the word that shoots
down the word.

The flight path of a guided missile
“ the word”
attracts attention
in the self destruction
of a word.

i often want to burn everything i have ever written....i get to thinking i am a complete con and my poetry is "shite"----we are our worst critics carrying our own missiles to shoot ourselves down.
Maybe writing is like flying Japanese Zero planes....from World War II....

Words are quite able to become missiles in the right mouth at the right time. Those nuclear words can literally kill.
