As far as dust goes.

As far as dust goes.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

We therefore commit
this cleaning brush
to the ground,
earth to earth,
ashes to ashes,
dust to dust
in sure and certain
hope of the resurrection
of a cleaner eternal life.

This ideology has been
banished till further notice.
Further more, there will be
no more dusting or cleaning.

It is now illegal
to dust down oneself,
the home, the planet.
As we all end up as dust
following our forefather’s footsteps
and their forefathers before that
as far back as time itself,
the dust you are dusting
could be the dust
of someone you know.

Watch out for dust storms,
let the dust settle,
for it could be Shakespeare,
or Gandhi in there.

Good point well made, like the water we drink having passed through the kidneys of bugger-knows -who!
This is the ultimate recycling paean.

Good times to you

Pleasure, my friend!
Dust bunnies for Easter... footprints of ducklings on the
country lane ... Shakespeare at my garden gate with a
sonnet and me in my Bonnet... the whole world is a Stage
and we are all actors or poets. truly your golden pen is ready
for daffodils and violets. as ever, Pat

Thank you Pat.
I've never thought of dust in such a way. ha The next time I sweep my driveway I'm really going to think about what I'm doing and who I may be doing it too. lol
