The tell tale signs of a dead poet!

The tell tale signs of a dead poet!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

The tell tale signs of a dead poet:
No new thoughts coming to mind,
no new thoughts coming to mind,
the pen won’t move,
the pen won’t move.

When the only poems are
those relived from the past
where their poems step
outside their shadows
and we step inside.

i feel like one foot at times is getting into that shadow.
