Judged by the jury of time.

Judged by the jury of time.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Through the empty
pages of time
my shadow waits
on the cusp of uncertainty
not knowing which way
or when
I will fall.

i think the judge and jury have/are already sentencing me :{ bad back...rotators ripping, blow out knee, ....oh please let me continue to share them all, bad eye sight, poor hearing, vertigo, tinnitus, muscles leaving the house (not to mention hair) :))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) watery eyes, allergies, snot nose, numb fingers and toes, stinky feet, poor hygiene ...oh yeah .. then there is the memory ... ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh boy ;)
seriously tho ... time will be the judge ... these days my fear is whose "facts" it is based on >;/

This poem reminded me of past conversations about whether I’d want to know now how I’ll die. I answered no, and that remains the same. The “fall” reference here, versus “rise,” also brings a darkness to the moment, and makes me wonder. When do we stop rising and start falling?
