The sign says.

The sign says.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

There are those
who erect signs,
those who pull down signs
and those who write signs.

There are signs of life,
signs of extra terrestrials
signs to read,
and signs that say:

Sign on!
Sign off!
Sign here!
Sign this!
Sign that!

It’s all sign language,
signs everywhere
just look for the signs
for the sign says.

I think I've had a sign about this moment. This one will live with me.

Thank you Ken for stopping by my friend.
I'm amazed at the way you repeated the word "sign" in every single verse without making the poem sound redundant. Great word play, very original and intriguing. Great job :)

Thank you dear poet.
great creativity here with all the uses of "sign"---i certainly appreciate this considering one of my last writes had to do with signs..."and the sign said long haired freaky people need not apply..."
love it,
j.
