Just a riff.

Just a riff.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

On the riffs of life
a song
somewhere in
the depths of music
a chord was played
on cue
" So you want to be
  a rock' n' roll star
  then listen now
   to what I say!"
I heard the Byrds
I saw Patti Smith.
Because the night
dancing barefoot
She
turned turned turned
Hey Joe.
When the music's over
I saw the Doors.
Touch me.
The End.

Must be my day for reading about the longing for the past … but maybe, just maybe, it's because the kinder souls are searching for the softer times ...
