When the shoe fits!

The allegory of man
could be traced back
by his footsteps
embedded in time
to a past written
on cave walls.

Except....

when his soles
of his shoes
had animal prints
particularly dinosaurs
or those of Big Foot.

Yes, when the shoe fits
wear it so why did
Cinderella lose her shoe
when her foot fitted
perfectly.
We’ll never know
high heels weren’t
in vogue back then.

Obviously size matters.
Just ask those
trampled underfoot.
