Whose line is it anyway?

Whose line is it anyway?

A Poem by andrew mitchell

You can tell a lot
about a person
looking at their
washing line.

In the washing line
headlines today.
Seven pairs of undies
shows a regular healthy change routine,
anymore a cleanliness obsession
any less down right dirty.

Odd pair of socks
means a sock burglar
or it could be just
that missing sock dilemma

Any kinky underwear
black or red lace
with suspenders
seems to advertise
a great sex life.

Finally, an overloaded
washing line indicates
someone in the house is naked.
One can never have
too many clothes.

Anyway, happy pegging
and remember in the old days
everyone got their news
from the grape vine
just ask Adam and Eve
where they got their
leaves to cover
their private bits.

I wonder what happened
when it was autumn ?
When their leaves
started to fall!

Does what one laughs at show his/her type of humour? Love the overloaded washing line.. .. killer finale! Your sense of humour, fun, joy - is endless and so very acceptable. Your words drift beautifully down and down as if you were giving each of your reviewers a unique autumnal letter!
As to your final stanza - we will become avid wearers of dark glasses so nobody knows what we are looking at. Am wondering which line is the best, is it local or - do you have to do more research, sir.

twistedly clever as is your usual. think of the time adam and eve saved by not having to pack for vacations. eventually those leaves had to come in different sizes. be careful with those clothespins.
