During the time that mind forgot.

During the time that mind forgot.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

What page will open
during mind chatters
where memories murmur
in a final gathering

before the crystallised age
sends thoughts back
to be frozen on mind's walls
of cranial hibernation

all the while
a shadow sweeps
over the halls
becoming empty.

love your opening verse ... especially the "...mind chatters" ... L4 hits ominously and with force ... for me things waver on the edge of something really good ... or maybe really not so good ... an empty mind is something not easy to achieve .. but what peace and quiet it rewards .. however the "...shadow.." can imply something not so healthy ... deep thoughts sir! delving into the spiritual says i! :)

profoundly inspiring ink you spilled here

the opening stanza immediately draws one in

this piece reminds me of one desperate for quietude, reflection. a time to shut off the world and it’s cacophony...
season of remembrance,
listening to your soul, a much needed reprieve.

i enjoyed ethereal imagery you weave throughout this.
brilliantly (as always) executed. ~ x
