In the weird wonderful world of reincarnation.A Poem by andrew mitchell
What you eat
is what you are in the weird, wonderful world of reincarnation. Humans on all fours in fields of green, grazing. Meat eaters are served as butcher’s meat platters. A human chop anyone! A flock of humans fly overhead south for the winter. While caged humans lay eggs, some enjoy being free range. An excited human fetches a stick, a human yolk is cracked from an egg, a cocky human on a perch repeats what you say. In the vegetable patch of vegans: a human carrot is pulled from the ground by its hair, a bite of a human was an apple. Yes! In the weird, wonderful world of reincarnation how the tables have turned. But we only see the flora and fauna as they are. Meanwhile, the cows are in the kitchen baking a cake while the bulls in the lounge are watching sport on the Tv sipping coffee. No longer does the chicken cross the road, the chicken drives a car! In the weird world of reincarnation. It’s moo to you, and moo from them, and c**k a doodle doo from me. © 2019 andrew mitchellReviews
