The passing of a rainbow.

The passing of a rainbow.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

From the rainbow
who took the strip of green
and made envy?
You did!

Who took the strip of red
only to make anger?
You did!
In the depression you dug
which wrapped me tight,
the strip of blue?
You did!

Of all the colours
at your disposal.
You did!
No longer are you
the pot of gold,
no longer are you
the desired rainbow,
with your primary colours gone
I’ll find another.

this is one of your strongest metaphors...i wish i had written the entire poem....
can i steal it? just kidding.
especially like the ending...
and the strip of blue...wrapped tight in depression.
