What God, what religion, what are you talking about!

What God, what religion, what are you talking about!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Where would man be
if man had no knowledge
of a God?
Would we be better off?
One less war to fight over,
no religions.
If we didn’t know what
we were missing,
we wouldn’t miss it,
would we!
A world that knew no God,
could be harmonious and restful.
There would not be any places for worship
because there is nothing to worship.
And just think, no promises
of an afterlife, no heaven!
Imagine!
Yes! John Lennon knew!
But this will never happen,
religion sells, churches need a God,
you can make money selling a belief.
Teach them when their young
that’s the secret.
What about if it is a myth?
Keep it to yourself
we’ll tell the next generation
the truth after we expose Santa Klaus!

there would be no killing in his name...and there would be no crutch for many to lean on...who figure they can be cruel to their neighbors but be forgiven by an all charitable god....yes, i think John knew more than many give him credit for knowing and understanding.
