Before the reflection cracked!

Before the reflection cracked!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

How deep does the depth
of your mirror reflect
the real you?

Do not seek
the height that’s yours,
but seek the depth
of what’s inside you.

What lies behind
your shadow other than
the light that shines upon it?

While the in’s and outs
from inside a box lies empty,
the very essence of truth
opened and closed doors
when your mirror cracked.
With the fall of the dominoes
now started
time awaits you
in the mirror’s aftermath
based on self calculations
on love and your self worth.

and self-worth should not be measured by height, weight, looks in general...
that needs to be calculated by the truth and goodness on the inside...
nicely done metaphor...
