The shrinking book of memories verse.

The shrinking book of memories verse.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

The clouds covered
the thoughts of today
while the opening
of the almanac
containing the pages of life
released the butterflies of memories,
the book on turning
will become
smaller tomorrow.

The book of life
unlike the length of string
does have an ending.

it feels like it gets smaller as we get closer to the end...and sometimes the climax of the story comes too early and we are just reading to the end with disinterest.
i like this poem...smart piece of writing.
