Appeasing the masses!

Appeasing the masses!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Your Majesty!
Yes!
The sheep are getting restless, your Majesty!
Oh! Are they!
Well tell em we getting new blades of grass.
They are still hungry your Majesty!
Tell them I will mow the grass
if they do not behave.
Yes your Majesty.
How are things now?
We have stabilised the
perimeters of the castle grounds
with outdoor barbecues your Majesty.
What if they break through these BBQ barriers?
We have cruise ships on standby to take
the sheep on a one way holiday trip to the middle-east.
It’s working your Majesty, not a sheep around.
Anything else?
Your Majesty, we now have the resources
to stop the chicken crossing the road?
How exciting! No more crossings! How?
We will build a wall
in the middle of the road, your Majesty.
Splendid!
We will call it the great chicken wall!

The "wall" has both pros and cons . . . an unfortunate situation caused by men of corruption, greed and violence against their own peoples. The history of the world is the history of the refugee.

Indeed Tom how true the refugee’s plight. Thanks for stopping by.

You can appease some of the people some of the time, but ya can't appease all of the people all of the time

When them chicken and them sheep get together, I bet they have a flocking good time sir......Neville

why did the chicken cross the road? To get away from politicians i think...when i was a little kid spending time in Vermont i used to help slaughter the chickens...even running with their heads cut off i think they are better off than the chickens in this poem.
good stuff, andrew.
