The exchange.

The exchange.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Did the penny
for your thoughts
come with misgivings
or was it easily
relinquished
in the exchange?
For it seemed
like a sound investment
banking on our song.

dear Andrew... I have acquired many things
for just a "Song"... It was an even exchange...
a lifetime to use for any purpose. A real
bargain at the time. Someday it may be
valued at an Auction as an Antique...
if I live to be a hundred years old. truly, Pat
