In the blink of a time's eye.

In the blink of a time's eye.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

The eye
in the universe
looks on
not blinking
watching
through a charcoal sky
where eternity's road
is no more
but a stairway
to heaven,
and the peace
all around
is the mind
left behind
waiting.

eternal rest....we all hope for that some day....and when we are gone from our mortal coils as Hamlet expressed, will we become part of that eye?
perhaps evolution says so.
