The curtain fell towards me.

The curtain fell towards me.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

The curtain fell
on a shadow passing -

the epitaph read:

Stay with me time.
Don't leave me.
Walk with me.
Don't run away.
Give me the moment.
Sit down with me.
Just stay awhile.
Share in the stare
 in a daydream,
a memory growing
placed in your care.

time never stops and never waits...we are always trying to catch up to it.
always.

An imaginative look at what the dead might say to the closing of the curtain. I would think the same could be said to the living as well as time itself. As I grow older the idea of time sticks with me . . . it is growing short . . . maybe that is why I rise earlier in the morning than I use to?

oh my goodness, Andrew ... emotive to the max ... those loved ones lost in death are precious indeed in memory and our time goes so swiftly by :( .... i have never thought of those memories, i have, as having been placed in my care .. but truly they are ..we bear a responsibility to remember the faces of our fathers as it has been said .. and to keep memories of them alive through generations in story telling .. such a different aspect of you sir .. and your writing ..well done ... i am blessed in reading

Time moves very fast and before we realize it things have changed, I wish it could stay but it cant, we have to move as time moves and makes the most of the time we have

' Don't run away. .. Give me the moment. .. Sit down with me.'

This handful of words sets the heart going, the brain gently ticking..

For me. time's coming and passing is fascinating, mysterious, magical. Yes, yes, there are reasons for it, we know or have an idea of what science tells us.. But it is bur a shadow passing.. we can only guess at is colours and shapes and touches.. To sit looking into its endless eyes would sure tell us more, if only in gestures kind and the scent of something we can put a name to. Perhaps?
