We’re not going back to that God forsaken grounds.

We’re not going back to that God forsaken grounds.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

What was Stone Henge
but monoliths on the run
escaping from a church yard
where they formed a circle
out in the fields
and pledged never to return
to sacred grounds,
and they did.
Amen.

I love the whimsy in this and all your writing. But I'm afraid I got to say visit Stonehenge and then write it again. And talk about the atmosphere in your own inimitable style. Or rather visit my favourite Avebury.
Although as an aside the last time I was there they were selling a Stonehenge burger from a fast food van. I mean really!
