Not a penny more I tell ye!

Not a penny more I tell ye!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Out with a penny
up to a pound
always supports
the crown.
But earn a penny
and out with a pound
was the cost of living.
Not a penny more,
not a penny less
but a penny
all the same
was common
folk lore amongst
the poor.
