A Poem by andrew mitchell

I fell from
a great thought once
now I limp
on the memory,
so the story goes... but
maybe it was just
a hardcover.

I fell backwards once and forward once. When I fell backwards on Cement,
they rushed me to the Emergency Room and Xrayed my Head.
They told me that my Brain was bleeding and my Skull was cracked.
I asked what they would do about that. I was told that my Brain would
stop bleeding and that my skull would heal and come together again.
That was about ten years ago. I assume they were correct and that they receive
large amounts of money for their knowledge. When I fell forward on Cement,
My forehead bled a lot, however when I had an MRI of my Head, everything was
in place... no problem. However, the tiny puppy I carried fell also and her bones
were so fragile that they shattered and now she only has three legs.
A very sad but true story. Pat
