Always something.

Always something.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Always the sentinel
but never the watch.
Never the time
but always on hand.
Always the sun
the shadow on dial.

Why in the world is it that upon reading this I picture an armored guard standing sentinel on a parapet calling out the hour with 'and all's well.'
A rather grand half dozen lines that challenge the mind. Certainly something to ponder.

A good write Andrew
I like it.
Happy holidays
