Always the castle
never the home.
Always the cup
never the Grail.
Always the sword
never the pencil.
Always a moat
but never a boat.
Only a king
never the pawns.
Always a legend
never a myth.
We do love the shiny material things we can show off to others, often at the expense of love, morals, and staying true to ourselves. That’s what I take from this one, Andrew. Some deep reflections in a few well chosen words.

Yes we do like those shiny things and all the trimmings. Thanks Robert for your words.
Once, words held great power. They were feared. I liked the honest thoughts. Hard to know the truth from a lie today. Thank you Andrew for sharing the amazing poetry.

Ah...so the first one leads to this and I find myself dealing with Arthur in a way. But the underlying theme I think is one that challenges the loneliness of power. You can have the world and still have nothing...in the end the pawns rise up and defeat the king...all the money in the world will not buy happiness.
Good write Andrew.
The two combine to tell a good story.
