Bloody Heat!

Bloody Heat!

A Poem by andrew mitchell
"

4 days of over 41 degrees to 45 C

"
You know it's an Australian summer
when the farmers are feeding ice
to the hens so they don't lay hard boiled eggs.
You just know it's a hot Australia
when all the trees are whistling
at the dogs.
You just know it's hot when
you have hot water
coming out of both taps.
Yep! You just gotta get through
a hot Australia summer,
toast or fried.

This reads like South Georgia (USA), when you get burned after five minutes in the sun. A poetic “bloody heat” worthy of a page in the Farmer’s Almanac. Seems like writing indoors is the best thing to do to escape the heat. Good write, Andrew.

I would like to send you some ice and snow. Here in Michigan, 12 degree and getting colder. Poor chickens needed ice. I could use a bit of Summer. I have six months of rain, snow and cold. Have fun and be safe my friend. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
