Writer’s cough
chokes on words
leaving the grounds empty.
The quill is near,
the inkwell full
but the movement
of thought is thin
between the worlds
of day and night
and the arch of wisdom
casts no light
while the shadows
have all gone home.
You Andrew at a loss for words? Is the planet losing gravity has the earth stopped spinning? Must be a tear in the fabric of spacetime... the world must be at an end, this can't be! Get your voice back Andrew I like gravity and I love the craziness of your mind it's like Bunny candy... I feel it now the planet is slowing down I'm about to have a panic attack:( Oh wait lost knowledge it can be found again if we look hard enough for it Im a great shadow hunter if you point me in the right direction my brother poet:)

LMAO thanks for a hilarious review Robert. Can’t stop smiling lol.
dear Andrew... there are times when the winds
seems to prevail on the seven seas... and we are
left with earthly cares and dreaming of an Island
where the weather is warm with cool breezes.
truly, Pat
We can all relate to this dilemma; gasping for words, coughing up the residue of broken thoughts that fail to entice the page; it's the bane of the poet and writer. I especially enjoyed the use of "cough" and "choke" in this context, especially since we Aussies are lost in the smoke haze most days this Summer.
Merry Christmas to you and yours, Andrew. Stay cool in the relentless South Aussie heat. Another tough week on the horizon.
